Tuesday & Thursday Mornings (8:50-9:05)
Running and walking are great ways to condition your body, lose weight, reduce stress, and boost energy. Come and join us if you can!
Walk- Run Program
- All students will participate unless they have a medical excuse.
- The walk-run will start at 8:50 and end at 9:05
- Walkers and runners who make it around the course 1 time will receive a YELLOW SMILE SLIP. Those who make it twice (2) will receive a BLUE STAR SLIP. If a student makes it around three times they will earn a PINK HEART SLIP. Those who can run four times around will earn the GREEN RUN SLIP. When students return to the classroom they are to fill out their name, grade and teachers name on the slip.
- Students will be in view at all times should anything happen.
- Children are awarded for their efforts in the following manner: pencils at 5,10,15,20, and 25 stars. A special gift is given for students who reach over 25 miles. Every two times around the course is equal to a *STAR* which is 1 Mile.
- Stars will be updated every week outside of the gym.
- Teachers and parents are encouraged to join us!
- STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING IN AN EXTRA PAIR OF SOCKS/SNEAKERS FOR WALK/RUN MORNINGS AS THE GRASS CAN SOMETIMES BE WET.
