Participation in the graduation ceremony is a privilege. Students must sign the graduation contract and adhere to all requirements. Students with financial and/or academic obligations will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony.
TIME: The ceremony begins promptly at 6:30pm
ARRIVAL TIME FOR THE SENIORS: Seniors must report to their I-blocks at 5:30pm. Proper attire is required as per contract. Students without proper attire will not march with their class to the field.
REHEARSAL: Rehearsal #1 follows the Block 2 final exam. Attendance is mandatory and seniors should report to the auditorium at 9:20am. Students receive their caps/gowns and tickets at this rehearsal. Rehearsal #2 begins the day of graduation at 7:35am. Seniors are required to report to the auditorium promptly at 7:35am.
TICKETS: Tickets are only required if there is inclement weather, which will require that the ceremony take place indoors at the Colonial Elementary School Gymnasium. Each senior will receive four tickets. Two of the tickets are for the gymnasium and two of the tickets are for the auditorium where guests can view the ceremony on a large auditorium screen. Tickets are not required for Colonial Field. Students may invite as many friends and family members to the ceremony when it is held outdoors on Colonial Field.
PARKING: Parking is free and spaces are allocated for persons with disabilities. The Colonial School District security staff will have motorized carts to pick up guests with disabilities and transport them to the seating area.

DIPLOMAS: During the ceremony, students will be granted a diploma cover. Students must report to their I-blocks after the ceremony to pick up their actual diplomas. We request that parents remind students to pick up their diplomas.
PICTURES: A professional photographer from Herff Jones will be at the stage taking a picture of each graduate. Parents will receive information in the mail about ordering prints. No one is permitted to come to the stage to take pictures. All pictures or recordings must be done from the guest seating area.
GRADUATE SEATING: Students will be seated with their I-block. Students will receive their seating assignment at the first rehearsal and can inform parents prior to the ceremony. Parents are welcome to sit on the side of the field where the graduate is seated. Both the home and visitors side will be available for seating.
