Lisa Genovese

Counseling Department Liaison

(F-K)

9th Grade AVID

 

Bachelor of Arts, Marywood College, 1986

Masters in Education, Temple University, 1988 

 

Ms. Genovese joined the Counseling department at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in 1990. She is a Sponsor for the Class of 2014.  She is married, lives in Chester County and enjoys rubber stamping, baking and exercising.

 



Jeff Blizzard

(A-E)

11th Grade AVID

 

Bachelor of Arts, Eastern College, 1993

Masters in Education, West Chester University, 1997 

 

Mr. Blizzard joined the Colonial School District in 1997. He is the coach of the Bowling Team as well as the sponsor of the Ski Club. Jeff also coached the freshman softball team for several years. He enjoys the beach, motorcycling, team sports, and spending time with his family and friends.

 

        

 

 

  

Margaret Wisniewski

(L-Q and R Grade 9)

10th Grade AVID

 

Bachelor of Arts, Susquehanna University, 1991

Masters in Counseling, Chestnut Hill College, 1997

Secondary Counseling, Villanova University, 2005 

 

Ms. Wisniewski joined the Counseling Department in 2005. Previously, she worked at The Shipley School where she taught Health and coached Cross-Country, Golf and Softball. She is currently the 9th grade softball coach.

 

 

 

 

  

MJ Grourke

(S-Z and R Grades 10,11,12)

12th Grade AVID

 

B.S.B.A., Bucknell University, 1991

M.Ed., Temple University, 1993

 

Mr. Grourke has been with PW since 1993. He served as an assistant football coach for many years and had a brief stint as an assistant baseball coach.  He is currently the 9th grade Athletic Director and sponsors the PWHS Fly Fishing Club. Mr. Grourke enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys in their Upper Bucks County home. His hobbies include fly fishing, coaching youth sports and spending time in the great outdoors.   

 

 



Pat Tamborello

College Counselor 

Mrs. Tamborello came to Plymouth Whitemarsh in 1991 from Neumann College where she was the Director of Admission. She is active in professional organizations in order to enhance her knowledge in the ever changing world of college admission. Among the leadership positions that she has held as a member of the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling include, President, Treasurer, Delegate and Admission Admissions Practices Committee member. For National Association for College Admission Counseling she has been a member of the Professional Development Committee and a Co-director of a professional workshop. For The College Board, she is a member of the Middle States Regional Council Meeting Planning Committee and as a member of the High School Advisory Group. "It is my pleasure to be at Plymouth Whitemarsh to help all students with post secondary plans."   

 

 

 



Mrs. Nettie Difeo

Counseling Secretary

Mrs. Difeo has worked for the Colonial School District since 1989. Her duties at PWHS began in 1995. Please contact Mrs. Difeo if you have any questions about 9th and 10th grade students. She also handles all transcript requests for Plymouth Whitemarsh alumni.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and three grown children and their families, her grandson Mikey, and Shih-Tzu Chui.

 

 


 

Mrs. Vicki Marino

College Counselor Secretary 

Mrs. Marino is the secretary in the College Counseling office. Please contact Mrs. Marino if you have any questions about 11th and 12th grade students. She enjoys being with family and friends, sewing, watercolor painting, cooking and antiquing.

 

 

 

Kim

Mrs. Kim Gawthrop

Community Counselor

 

B.S., Penn State University, 2001

Masters in Counseling & Educational Psychology, West Chester University, 2003 

 

Ms. Gawthrop joined PW in 2005 as a community counselor working with The Lincoln Center. She completed her secondary school counseling certification in Spring 2011.
