Michael McKenna, Ed.D.

Ridge Park Elementary School

Dr. McKenna was named acting principal of Ridge Park Elementary School in August 2011 and was appointed as principal shortly thereafter. He spent the previous three years as Assistant Principal at Colonial Elementary School (CES). McKenna joined the Colonial School District in 2002. He originally taught fourth and fifth grade and served as a reading specialist at CES and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

Dr. McKenna holds a B.S. and elementary certification from Penn State University. He earned a M.S. and reading specialist and K-12 administrative certifications from St. Joseph's University. McKenna received his doctorate and superintendent certification from Temple University.
