Plymouth Whitemarsh High School

The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Administrative Team is committed to meeting the academic and social needs of the students in a positive environment.

 

Heather Nuneviller, Principal

Heather Nuneviller was named principal of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in May 2010. Prior to joining the Colonial School District, Mrs. Nuneviller served as a middle school principal in the Manheim Township School District since 2007. She has experience as an assistant high school and middle school principal. Mrs. Nuneviller began her career in education as a teacher in the Pottsgrove School District.

Mrs. Nuneviller holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and Elementary and Mid-Level Math certifications from Bloomsburg University. She earned a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and K-12 Administrative certification from Penn State University, where is currently working towards a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. 

Jason Bacani, Associate Principal

Jason Bacani joined the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School administrative team in August 2011. He had served as principal at Ridge Park Elementary School since April 2007. Bacani previously served two years as assistant principal at Colonial Middle School. A former Whitemarsh Elementary School third grade teacher, Bacani was named one of the Colonial School District's inaugural Master Teachers in June of 2003. He has served in leadership roles on a number of committees and previously served as an assistant coach for the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School boys' basketball team.

Mr. Bacani holds a B.S. and Elementary certification from West Chester University and a M.S. and K-12 Administrative and Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction certifications from St. Joseph's University. He is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program at St. Joe's.

 

 

Daniel Balek, Assistant Principal

Dan Balek joined Plymouth Whitemarsh High School as an assistant principal in 2005. In addition to working closely with students whose last names begin with the letter L through Z, Mr. Balek serves as a student assistance team member, the AVID site administrator, the AFG internal coordinator, the summer school director, and the administrative liaison to the library and the social studies and special education departments.  He began his career in education as a teacher and eventually special education department chair at Harry S. Truman High School in Bucks County.

A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Balek holds a B.A. and Elementary and Special Education certifications from Holy Family College. He earned a M.S. in Educational Administration and a K-12 Administrative certification from Gwynedd-Mercy College.  

Joseph Carracappa, Assistant Principal

Joe Carracappa joined Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) as assistant principal in 2008. In addition to working closely with students whose last names begin with the letter A through K, he serves as a student assistance team member, the chair of the School Improvement Team, leader of the ninth grade initiative and the administrative liaison to the English language arts, business/information technology and family and consumer science departments. Mr. Carracappa began his career as an elementary school teacher in the Colonial School District. He was named a Master Teacher in 2006. Mr. Carracappa served as assistant principal at Colonial Middle School before moving to PWHS.  

Mr. Carracappa hold a B.S. in Education at Bloomsburg University. He earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Elementary and K-12 Administrative certifications from Gwynedd-Mercy College.  

 

Charles Forster, Activities Director

Charles Forster has served as Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Activities/Athletics Director for three decades. In addition to developing and coordinating the district’s athletic program, staff and facilities, he also served two terms on the District One Committee of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association. Mr. Foster began his career as a health and physical education teacher. He has coached baseball, football and wrestling.

Mr. Forster holds a B.S. and M.Ed., as well as Health and Physical Education and Supervisor of Health and Physical Education certifications from West Chester University. He earned a Secondary Administrative certification from Villanova University.
